December 24, 2021 by Shellie Wilson Leave a Comment

No matter who is on your gift list this year, you can make DIY a great gift. From teacher gifts to gifts for mom, there are plenty of ways to create a gift they will cherish forever.

In order to help you decide what perfect gift to craft for the people on your list, we have curated a guide to 8 amazing DIY gifts you can create this year.

1. Wreath

Everyone needs a cute way to decorate their front door and a wreath is a great way to do that! The best part is that it is easy to DIY which is why it is such a great gift idea for everyone on your list. Try making this DIY Christmas wreath for under $10.

2. Outdoor Sign

Use old barn wood to create an outdoor sign that will greet guests as they walk up to a door. The recipient of this gift is sure to love a beautiful welcome sign. Make it even more personal by painting something specific, like their last name, on the welcome sign.

3. Quilt

If you have any experience quilting, a quilt could be a great and personal gift to give someone on your list. This sentimental gift can be passed down for generations.

4. Embroidered Sweatshirt

Embroidered sweatshirts are so popular this year and the best part is that you can hand make these for those you love. Pick their favorite character or saying to place on their favorite color sweatshirt. What a great way to show them you care!

5. Crocheted Pillow

If you love to crochet, consider crocheting those on your list a pillow. This is a sentimental gift they will be able to keep for years to come. These are a specifically great idea for young children.

6. Hot Cocoa Jars

This is a great DIY gift to make in bulk for all those on your list that you may not know the most about. Everyone loves hot cocoa! Consider adding hot cocoa powder along with common hot cocoa toppings like marshmallows into a mason jar. Add the lid and tie a bow around it to top off this cute and yummy gift.

7. Painted Plates

If you are an artist at heart, there is no better way to share your talent then by gifting it to your family and friends. Painting plates that can be used to eat on is a great and unique gift that is as useful as it is beautiful.

8. DIY Snow Globe

DIY snow globes are a great gift for anyone. All it really takes is a mason jar, clear glue, water, and glitter. They can keep them out all year or use them as holiday decor. These are also great gifts for children, as they can be used as calming jars. Watch the glitter fall to the bottom for a calming effect.

The best gifts are the ones you spend your time making. Be sure to use these cute printable gift tags upon wrapping your gifts to add that final touch.
