Give Your Outdoor Chairs A Makeover

June 9, 2016 by Katie Smith Leave a Comment

Do you have any old chairs? Restyle them with stripes and bold color by replacing the seat with a simple plywood cutout and some chalk paint! Mark Montano shares a tutorial for doing just that on his blog! I think this is a terrific way to alter almost any thrift store chair. I would probably replace the stripes with a floral pattern, but I do love the bold colors that Mark used.

Mark says: It was seriously time to overhaul my patio chairs!  They had been out in the sun and rain for 3 years and even though I love the distressed look, this was way too much.  I’m sure in 2 years they’ll look totally different, but for now,  I’m seriously happy that I didn’t have fork over the dough to buy another set.  A little paint and plywood and I get to enjoy these for a few more years.
