Updated: 9 Things You Can Make With Rocks

November 14, 2015 by Larissa Coleman 1 Comment

Rocks may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of crafting materials, but with a bit of creativity, these little stones can be transformed into beautiful and unique pieces of art. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just looking for a fun and inexpensive way to create something new, rocks offer endless possibilities for crafting.

One of the most popular ways to craft with rocks is painting them. With the use of paint pens, you can create intricate designs and add fine details to your projects. Paint pens come in a variety of colors and tip sizes, making it easy to create unique and personalized designs.

But painting is just the beginning. Here are nine other ideas to inspire your rock crafting projects:

Here are some more ideas for using your painted rocks –

Rock Magnets: Turn your painted rocks into magnets by gluing small magnets to the back. These make for fun and unique decorations for your fridge or magnetic board.

Rock Garden Markers: Label your plants with hand-painted rock garden markers. Use waterproof paint to ensure they withstand the elements.

Rock Photo Holders: Use wire or small clips to create photo holders out of painted rocks. These make for cute and functional decorations on your desk or bookshelf.

Rock Tic Tac Toe: Paint rocks with X’s and O’s and use them to play a game of Tic Tac Toe.

Rock Paperweights: Use larger rocks to create unique and personalized paperweights for your desk or workspace.

Rock Garden Sculptures: Stack and glue painted rocks together to create unique and whimsical garden sculptures.

Rock Art: Create a larger piece of art by arranging and gluing together smaller painted rocks onto a canvas or wooden board.

Rock Cactus: Paint rocks green and use toothpicks or small twigs to create a cactus-like plant.

Rock Pet: Use your painted rocks to create a cute and whimsical rock pet by gluing smaller rocks onto a larger rock to create the shape of an animal.
