Are you considering turning your craft hobby into profit? If you are planning to sell online, I created this handy infographic with 5 tips for selling handmade online. If you’ve been selling your handmade work online for a while now, you’re probably already familiar with these tips, still, they’re a good reminder.
5 Tips for Selling Handmade Online:
1. Take good photos.
This is extremely important. If you want to sell your handmade product than your customers need to be able to see it!
2. Tell your story.
Your online shop likely has an “about me” page and you need to take advantage of it! Tell you customers how your kid inspired your handmade toys and tell them your story!
3. Give out business cards.
You should give out 1-3 business cards in every order you ship so that if your customers decide they love your product and want to order more, they can find you easily!
4. Build a following.
Be sure to have an account on facebook, twitter, or Instagram (or all three!) to build a customer following. The more your handmade products are seen the better!
5. Be friendly!
Good customer service is everything! Respond to your customers in a timely matter, offer coupons and just be nice!
