Christmas decorating season is upon us! And that means it’s time for the holiday tutorials. Here are four lovely holiday decorating tutorials to get you started.
Simply Kelly Designs has a fabulous Glitter Candy Cane Ornament made from a cookie cutter, the perfect thing to do with leftover cookie cutters that you no longer wish to use. ( I know I’ve got a few that got a little rusty in the off season, but have lovely seasonal shapes.) It will leave the glitter lovers in your life ecstatic with the lovely coverage on this project.
Mellywood’s Mansion has a very cute Mini Christmas Wreath Ornament tutorial, another great one for making at a Christmas crafting party, because it’s easy for beginning crafters to handle. Easy on time, but big on timelessness, these adorable mini wreaths could be customized for any holiday décor!
Allison of Dream a Little Bigger posted a great tutorial on Mom Spark explaining how to make the super simple and super fun Gum Drop Ornaments. These fabulous decorations are downright yummy to look at on the tree and remind me of sugar plums and the Nutcracker. Make sure you buy some extra gum drops for eating though, especially if you have little hands helping!
And if you’d like something pretty and fun to put under the tree, check out Make the Best of Everything’s tutorial on making Christmas Parcels that look like they came straight from the North Pole. You could do this one with kids and have fun decorating presents that aren’t from Santa or you could do this as a surprise for Christmas morning, with packages wrapped to North Pole air mail perfection.
Whatever you’re crafting up, I wish you a happy holidays and even happier crafting!
