Etsy Shop of the Week – Dellamorte & Co.

This week’s featured Etsy Shop is Dellamorte & Co. Dellamorte & Co. is the creative vision of artist Michael Locascio, an artist trained in classical sculpture, with an aesthetic that is one part classical and one part macabre gothic. Each piece is beautiful and intricately carved, featuring miniscule details that a wealth of interest to the sculpture. The designs feature the hallmarks of gothic imagery–skulls, devils, witches, tentacles and cephalopods, bats, and wolves, but rendered in such vibrant attitude as to make them seem new and interesting. Like the kraken bookends above, which look as though at any moment it might begin reaching out its long tentacles towards your books. Check out all the different pieces in the shop.
