iCreateFlix

icreateflix

Have you heard of iCreateFlix? Its another contender in the online craft teaching world, much like Craftsy, but with some interesting differences. Instead of offering just video tutorials and classes, they also offer PDF tutorials for those who prefer working off of written directions, patterns for creating projects with the tutorials, and e-books written by their global staff. The tutorials vary greatly in subject, difficulty, and price. I love the variety of techniques and levels of skill the tutorials encompass. It can be difficult to find tutorials to help you move from intermediate to advanced skills and technique, but flipping through the lists of tutorials, I see several with higher difficulty levels, perfect for those seeking extra knowledge in a beloved field. There’s also a nice healthy variety to the fields offered, from spinning your own yarn to creating mixed media assemblages. There’s even a section for kid’s crafts.

What do you think, Craft Gossip readers? Have you taken classes from iCreateFlix? How did you like them?

Independent Crafters Information

On the Indie Crafts section of CraftGossip I like to support other indie artists by posting tips about running a handmade business, blogging and other helpful information. Once a week I try to feature handmade shops to showcase their work. I also like to share trendy, popular DIY's that I think are amazing and hope you do as well. If you are an Independent Artist or want to start a handmade business, this is the place to find resources. Or if you just love DIY's and everything crafty I hope you'll find some fun projects to make and be inspired by the artists I feature!
