Light is an essential part of any painting, but how about creating entire works of art out of just lights? Far beyond your average holiday display of lights are the light artists like Bruce Munro, whose exhibition Light will be featured this summer at the Cheekwood Art and Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. These light displays utilize fiberoptic cables and various diffusers to create scenes of beauty, like the above “Field of light”. Personally, I love this “Light Shower” featured below, but you’ve really got to check out the whole thing, either in person or via photographs on the Cheekwood site or Bruce Munro’s site. Enjoy!
