On March 7th, 2013, at the Utah Valley University Orem Campus there will be a unique world record attempt, one sure to add some color to your life. Vibrant Protest is a project that seeks to break the world record for world’s longest tie-dye. But it’s not just about creating a beautiful work of fabric art, it’s also about raising awareness about the disappearance fo the Cotton industry in America. Did you know most Made in America fabric is only finished in America? The cotton fields of the South have been converted to soybeans, a fact that inspired artist Inez Harwood to dig deeper into the American fabric industry and share what she found with others.
