Usually, when I’m writing a post, picking an image is the easy part. But when I saw Ellen Jewett’s Creatures From El, I knew that picking a favorite image to share with you was going to be the hardest part. Why? Because Ellen creates the most amazing animal sculptures I’ve ever seen. Each piece is sculpted by hand, literally by her fingers and a paintbrush according to her Etsy shop. Even more impressive is the balance achieved in each work. Her animal stacks, for instance, seem caught in mid motion, so perfectly they balance only barely touching the ground.
