Wow. I’ve got to say, some of the artists working in the steampunk costume genre are just incredible. Like Oculto Steam Masks, who handcrafts one of a kind masks featuring vintage and antique pieces mixed with rivets, gears, and gorgeous leather scraps. And each piece is explained in beautiful detail–you can read all about the persona that inspired it and the method used to make it here on the blog. Like the mask featured above, titled “The Falconer”, for which the wearer would be a world renown falcon expert, who tragically lost an eye while attempting to capture a prehistoric bird of epic proportions.
