If you’ve ever tried to create a toy to entertain a child, you know that it’s not an easy thing. Toys are one part design, one part enchantment. Which is why the MOMA exhibit Century of the Child: Growing by Design is not just another art exhibit. The collection features children’s playthings from 1900s to 1990s, a span that Etsy Blogger Chappell Ellison writes about in-depth in the Etsy blog article Examining the Child at Play.
