Alright lucky LA area folks, Craft in America Study Center is hosting another fabulous event for you to check out. Remember this post on the Looming Election: Woven Works exhibition or this one on Tanya Aguiñiga? If not, this is a chance to familiarize yourself with the two, because Tanya Aguiñiga is the last discussion host in the lecture series for the exhibition. She’s going to be there this Saturday, August 18th at 6pm talking about “how her work is informed by border experiences, the interconnectedness of societies and the celebration of culture,” (Craft in America). You can learn more here and check it out if you have the opportunity. If you’re not the area (like me) you can still check out some awesome indie craft exhibitions virtually here.
