These pictures don’t do the art doll created by artist Margarita Castillo-Bernard (MARCA) justice. I’ve seen her work in person twice now and it is fabulous. Part Burton, part Henson, and part Day of the Dead, these dolls have tons of personality and an underlying aesthetic that I can only describe as creepy wonderful. Looks aren’t everything though: all of MARCA’s dolls feature poseable wire armatures. Take a look at her portfolio or pick up a creature for yourself at her Etsy shop.
