I may have posted about the Art-o-mat before. But I just looked at it again recently and see that there are TONS more Art-o-mats sprinkled across the country.
What is an Art-o-mat? Art-o-mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are 82 active machines in various locations throughout the country.
You can submit your art (or craft) to the Artists in Cellophane for inclusion in an Art-o-mat, you can read their clear submission guidelines here.
I want one of these to be closer to me, like on a street corner near my house. I want to create my own craft vending machine and have it set up at events like Bazaar Bizarre. I wonder how hard it is to find and convert an old vending machine!?
Other info about art vending machines over at Callithump.org.
