How to Sew Your Own Produce Bags

October 26, 2009 by Minnie 3 Comments

producebagsI often wander the grocery store grumpily thinking about how stupid it is for people to freak out about paper or plastic grocery bags, it just seems like such a pathetic thing to focus on. Our country is AT WAR still ffs.

However, I get home and have a bunch of produce annoyingly in a bunch of plastic bags. And thusly, that makes me want to make these net produce bags. My question is, “what kind of net material do I use”?

I use onion bags to hold balls of yarn when I take my knitting on the go. Why not reuse them for produce bags, too? Thanks for the idea!

Our country is always going to be helping other countries. But its nice to know we are taking care of our country. I mean….why would you trash something you love?

Love this idea for the produce bags. Had been wanting some similar to this but was too cheap to buy them off the net! Did find a package of similar type at the Dolloar Tree. Think it was 3 or 4 in a plastic container for of course $1. Grabbed a bunch for family and friends. Used several the other day and they worked great. Thanks for all your great ideas, follow you daily and am amazed at all your craftiness! Keep up the good work.
    Thanks again.
