Hola from Texas, land of my youth! I am here in Houston and will be driving my butt over to Austin for sXsw 2009 in a mere matter of hours.
What is sXsw?
SxSW is a conference/festival comprised of three parts, music, film and interactive. (I’ll be attending the interactive portion) The interactive portion is a gathering of the creative, the geeky and the in between of the media/entertainment businesses.
SXSW’s original goal was to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers, to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas. That continues to be the goal today whether it is music, film or the internet. And Austin continues to be the perfect location.
I’ll be keeping my eyes open for any crafty business going one. The first thing I spy is that Willo of WilloToons will be hosting a core conversation called “Snappy Strategies for Selling Art and Crafts Online“.
I’ll be taking notes and sharing and tips and tricks I learn y’all. 🙂
