Zomberella makes sideshow banners on canvas and will do custom work!
She is making real sized painted on canvas and aged side show banners. This is such an awesome idea and so I looked around to see if other people are doing it. And they are, but I am smitten with Zomberella’s and she sells them as prints too.
Coney Island and one Valerie Haller seem to have been behind the resurgence of sideshow art in the early 90’s ( which you can read about in the book Coney Island
By Charles Denson) and there is a Sideshow Banner Painting School taught by Marie Roberts.
There are crazy modern day sideshows as well and you can find many of them at www.sideshowworld.com, I have fond memories of seeing the Jim Rose Side Show when I was a teenager and the current Coney Island sideshows look fabulous. I’m crushing on Insectorva and will now go to sleep dreaming of her and Thor Heyerdahl eating bugs together on Fiji.

Thanks bunches for seeking out my banners. I do indeed love doing them. Just let me know when you’re ready for a banner of you as Spiderella! 🙂
Many happy returns!
