Strange Folk Craft Festival

June 25, 2008 by Jamie 2 Comments

Strange Folk is the Heartland’s largest outdoor indie arts and crafts show. They are now taking applications till July 6th 2008. Whether you are just starting out on your art or crafting venture, or have an established indie label, Strange Folk may just be the kind of rebel friendly venue you’ve been looking for! There is no fee to apply, but all applications will be juried by organizers on aesthetics and originality. They will fill 120 vendor spaces and choose 10 alternates. Click here to fill out the Vendor Application.

Application for Craft Groups
Strange folks stick together…this application is designated for art and craft groups that wish to share a space to promote their organization. These are considered alongside our regular vendor applications. For those groups accepted, they may sell as a group or as individuals, but altogether may only occupy one tent space for that purpose. Click here to fill out the Craft Group Application.

Do you have questions about becoming a vendor? They may have been asked before. Check here first, but email them at [email protected] with any additional questions.

I participated in the Strange Folk Festival last year, and it was a blast! There was a HUGE amount of traffic and such nice fellow vendors too. I highly recommend it to independent artists and crafters. It is well organized and well worth your time IMHO.

Independent Crafters Information

On the Indie Crafts section of CraftGossip I like to support other indie artists by posting tips about running a handmade business, blogging and other helpful information. Once a week I try to feature handmade shops to showcase their work. I also like to share trendy, popular DIY's that I think are amazing and hope you do as well. If you are an Independent Artist or want to start a handmade business, this is the place to find resources. Or if you just love DIY's and everything crafty I hope you'll find some fun projects to make and be inspired by the artists I feature!
