Ready for your weekly dose of craft meets art inspiration? Check out Kevin LCK’s amazing series of cardboard sculptures called Ordinary Behavior. Each one takes the form of an electronic device used in everyday life and builds a tiny diorama of that life within it. A bathroom grows out of an iPhone, a dining room hides within a microwave, and a living room rests inside a television. Each one probes the unique ways in which these devices interact with our lives and our environments, allowing viewers a space to think and discuss those relationships. Of course, the level of detail and the precision with which these scenes come to life is essential in spreading the artists message. I think Object 2, featured above, speaks most clearly to the craft lifestyle–a tiny art studio within the camera. You can see more pictures here in the feature on StrictlyPaper or on Kevin’s website.
