Caroline Slotte Landscape Multiple

I’ve seen dioramas made out of several unusual materials, but Finnish artist Caroline Slotte has taken it to a whole new level. Her series, Landscape Multiple, uses second hand dishes to create the dimensional images, carefully cutting out different elements on each dish, then layering them together to create beautiful scenes. The attention to detail in these works is astounding. Spend some time looking over them here on her website–you won’t regret it. Who knows? Maybe you’ll be inspired to create your own dioramas!

Love the landscape multiples. Really beautiful work. I can’t imagine how hard it is to be so precise on such a small scale.
