Book Review And Giveaway – The Diamond Painting Guide And Logbook

October 1, 2020 by Shellie Wilson 7 Comments

Diamond painting is taking over the craft world. Colorful, creative, and mentally calming, it is the hottest new trend in arts and crafts. A creative therapy outlet that is sure to de-stress and calm your mind. During lockdown, I started doing jigsaw puzzles and staying focused on the task really helped me to shut off the outside world. Diamond painting is like that but it’s way more prettier and there is no wrong piece only the right color for each spot.

Inspired by cross stitch and paint-by-number, diamond painting involves carefully placing colorful jeweled “diamond” resin pieces on a canvas to create gorgeous works of art.

Introducing The Diamond Painting Guide and Logbook: Tips and Tricks for Creating, Personalizing, and Displaying Your Vibrant Works of Art ($24.95, 9781681985909, Rocky Nook, October 2020) by Jennifer Roberts, the first ever guide to the best practices for making flawless, stunning paintings.

We are giving away 4 copies of this fantastic book to CraftGossip.com readers.

For your chance to win, comment below and tell us why you love Diamond painting. This giveaway is open to US addresses only and closes on the 31st of October 2020. Winners will be randomly drawn from the comments below.

With this book in hand, both new and experienced diamond painters will find expert advice and inspiration as they take their artwork to the next level. Author Jennifer Roberts, a licensed therapist who has been diamond painting for almost 3 years, shares her tips and tricks on everything from finding the best tools and designing customized paintings to framing and displaying your completed works and maximizing the therapeutic benefits.

The book also includes more than 75 log pages to track and review your projects and diamond painting kits. “Since discovering diamond painting I have found myself more patient, self-assured, and open to new possibilities,” she said. “I have found the ability to control my decisions, be proud of my accomplishments, and find peace in seeing the chaos of color become complete, organized, and whole. Diamond painting should bring you on a journey of rest and renewal. My hope is for your journey to be as inspirational and soul searching as mine has been.”

I love the bright colors in most of the diamond painted canvases I’ve seen. It’s glorious! I haven’t yet done a diamond painting but with a book like this I’d have all the questions answered and know more about it going into it. It looks like so much fun!

My mom always wanted me to get into diamond painting, she loved the craft of it and how fun it is to spend time putting th diamonds on the page. After all the work, to then add into a frame to gift or keep in the house. It would be a wonderful read and something we both can enjoy, from this book.
