Etsy recently announced the launch of “Pattern by Etsy”. It is a new seller service, enabling Etsy sellers to create their own custom websites in minutes.
Etsy says: Sellers have told us that marketing and promoting their businesses is one of the areas they need the most help with, and more than a third are interested in opening a commerce site of their own. Pattern is our fourth seller service, an easy way for sellers to create their own custom website that’s powered by their Etsy shop.
You can start with a free 30 day trial, but after that it is $15 a month. I think the main advantage of having an actual website as opposed to just the normal etsy shop is that it looks more professional. You can hand out a custom domain as opposed to etsy.com/shop/yourshopnamehere
