Hey guys, I wanted to let you know about a new festival in East London that is bringing traditional skills to life!
This June, older people’s charity, the Royal Voluntary Service will be holding GrandFest, a new one day festival celebrating the skills older people possess.
Taking place on Saturday 13th June, the festival will take over museums, shops, cafes and bars in and around the creative hub of Hoxton with a series of master classes held by talented older people all 70 years
From preserve making to dress-making and home brewing to woodwork workshops, GrandFest offers the opportunity to learn a new skill or brush up on an existing one.
The heart of GrandFest is Hoxton Square, which will play host to range of food and drink stands, a pop upshop and the GrandFest stage, where performers will entertain festival goers. Beyond Hoxton Square thefestival will unfold across the whole of Old Street at venues including the Geffrye Museum and Hoxton
