Oly*fun is a fun new material by Fairfield. I actually first heard of it last fall, but I got to see it used in the Oly*Fun booth at CHA and I wanted to share it here! Oly*fun is a specially engineered material that features some of the best things about fabrics AND papers. There is no grain to oly*fun, so you can cut it any which way you want. There is no need to pre-wash, as there is no sizing or shrinkage. Use a simple stitch to attach pieces together, and hem only if you want. oly*fun will not fray and it is weather resistant.

I have a few rolls myself and it’s sort of fun to play with- definitely different! I love that it doesn’t fray, but it’s not the normal cotton fabric I’m used to sewing with so I have to get used to it! 😉 I used it on the clock pictured below.
