Craft in America’s Study Center continues to bring together some of the best indie crafters in the world, offering them a chance to showcase what makes their use of the traditional crafting techniques so extraordinary. Consuelo Jimenez Underwood and the rest of the artists behind the new exhibit: Looming Election, Woven Works, are no exception. The passion and skill evident in Jimenez Underwood’s work is evident; her pieces move beyond what is “craft” or “art” or “social commentary”, creating a space where the three are one. If you can make it, the exhibit, which also features the amazing talents of Cameron Taylor-Brown, Tanya Aguiñiga, Michael Rohde, and Connie Lippert.
