Klutz ripps off maker Evil Mad Scientist

February 19, 2009 by Minnie 4 Comments

At the 2007 Maker Faire in San Mateo my sister and I stopped to talk to Lenore of Evil Mad Scientist about their bristlebots display. Bristlebot is a ‘tiny directional vibrobot’ made from a toothbrush head and little vibrating electrical motor, its a demonstration of ‘locomotion by ratcheting bristles’.

They are so cute and fun! I can’t wait for my kid to be of age to want to do this sort of thing. At this point he would like them but would probably try to eat it.

Anyway, Klutz is about to publish a book using the same name and same concept without giving the inventor credit. Not Fair! You can read about it on the Maker site.
