This weekend the Swap-O-Rama-Rama (sorr) is being held on saturday june 28th in Venice, California. sorr is an international clothing swap held in nyc, san francisco, tel aviv, and many, many more cities. This will be the second one taking place in LA. Here’s the deal: bring $5 and bag of unwanted clothes (or $10 without clothes), and rummage through the pounds of clothes brought in by other swappers. At the swap you can have your items altered, hemmed, or completely changed into another item altogether. You can also have your garments embellished with silkscreen prints, appliques, or bleached-out stencils. And you can take as much as you can carry!
The super talented team from Social Studies Design will be on hand to help you make your fabulous creations! Aldo will be unveiling 5 new images for silkscreening, and Sean will be helping you create plush monsters out of old clothes. Look at these adorable silk screened designs! Just imagine taking one of your plain tees and transforming it with one of these fab prints!
