Calling All Brisbane Indie Crafters- Apply for South Bank’s Christmas Market

July 31, 2015 by Katie Smith Leave a Comment

This post is for those of you who may be around Brisbane, Australia. This sounds like a great opportunity- I wish I was there!

Brisbane Marketing is inviting all Queensland artisans, producers, designers and vendors to participate in South Bank’s Christmas Markets this December.

Stallholder applications for South Bank’s Christmas Markets in Stanley Street Plaza are now open.

The markets will be held in Stanley Street Plaza and at the Little Stanley Street Lawns, South Bank Parklands, from 11am-8pm on Friday 11 December until Wednesday 23 December 2015.

South Bank’s Christmas Markets will return to the cobbled streets of Stanley Street Plaza for 13 days in December 2015. Now in its second year, the market is a highlight event and a highlight of the city-wide Wonder of Christmas program.  South Bank will come alive with live carol concerts and performances, festive cinema screenings and fireworks displays in the lead up to Christmas.

To celebrate Brisbane’s warm summer climate and unique Christmas traditions, successful applicants must embrace the festive spirit and specialize in Christmas themed products.

All products offered for sale should be unique, quality products and festive ware. Successful applicants will trade a mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas themed products suitable for all ages and budgets including real Christmas trees, handmade ornaments, decorations, gingerbread houses, Christmas puddings, cakes and handmade couture.

The fully themed markets decked with holly and magical lights along Stanley Street Plaza, will be complimented by a twilight program of live entertainment with carol singers, children’s entertainers and local musicians all adding to the festive ambiance.

Interested stallholders and traders have the option to trade the full 13 days or participate in the first six days or following seven days. Stallholders are urged to submit a Stallholder Application Form by 28 August 2015 with first round offers made on or before 11 September 2015.

To submit an application, go to: Christmas stallholder applications at Visit Brisbane
