People jokingly say that all kids need to play with are some rocks and some cardbaor boxes. It’s SO TRUE! Moving pleasingly shaped rocks from one place to another can occupy Jack for like 30-40 minutes and a crap load of cardboard boxes can occupy him for even longer.
Since we have been moving for about the past month there have been tons of boxes in a variety of states and sizes floating around here. Did you know you can buy these neat-o cardboard box rivets so that you can make huge cardboard box structures? You can buy them online at Mr. McGroovy’s.
I was thinking after we unpacked a bit more we could have a really good kid party in which we build a bunch of cardboard box structures and let the kids (and grown ups) go ape shit in the backyard.
I also blog at IndieCrafts and on BlogHer.
